I myself, have been doing firearms instruction for over 3 years now, and have trained and certified several hundred people. I have trained with dozens of instructors, police departments, NRA counselors, USCCA counselors, and even a NRA lead attorney on Supreme Court cases across the United States. This class with Michael Brown (no relations) and the team has by far has been the best training class I have ever taken. His content is outstanding, and the delivery is phenomenal. This training embodies not just physical, but also mental and spiritual as well. We often think only two of these aspects are involved in law enforcement, but I am truly seeing now opening up to how wholistic everything is. This 5 star rating is truly earned and deserved because what I heard and learned has literally made me a better person even outside of the profession, meaning my day-to-day life. The resume of this group speaks volumes, but it is their character that truly echoes through mountains. I don't typically normally do reviews but this one is well deserved. Mr. Brown is so proficient for slow and fast paced learners and gives a jaw dropping experience on legal terms and skills when it comes to operating a fire arm appropriately. I recall being in class and watching a beginner woman feel so fearful because it was her first time holding a firearm and hours later with just simple master training became comfortable with the usage of it in just three days. Better yet on the third day he had her hitting bullseye on the center of the target! So long story short if you're looking for master training in less than a week you need to sign up with this guy!

Mr. Brown is an awesome trainer, you get a lot of hands-on experience it's not just a class your sitting all day. He makes learning very easy and enjoyable. He takes his time and makes sure every student has a great understanding before proceeding to the next lesson. I would be recommending him to fellow people looking for armed and unarmed SPO training. If you're searching for an SO or SPO instructor, look no further! Mr. Brown is the BEST in the industry. Not only will you obtain the knowledge you need as an SO/SPO. The facility and staff are warm and welcoming. Mr. Brown does a fantastic job at following the CDC guidelines concerning COVID. Every student was instructed to wash and sanitize his or her hands before entering the classroom. Students were also instructed to wear masks. I witness many times Mr. Brown sanitizing the furniture and all equipment used by students. Mr. Brown is chill and down to earth but, when it comes to safety he's strict! I appreciated his seriousness when it came to safety. Oh , another bonus you can literally show up to class empty-handed. Mr. Brown's daughter Nina, owns a store directly across from the class. Nina's store is supplied with snacks, beverages, notebooks, and writing utensils. So again look no further Reality-Based Training Group is everything you're looking for and more!

This was by far one of the greatest classroom experiences! Mr. Brown, is as real as it gets and very thorough with information. This training class is an elite training course for anyone that's looking to get into security but even more than that I learned some life lessons that I can pass on to others. The training instructors were very professional in the structured class setting as well as making each individual person in the course feel comfortable. You learn so much in the short amount of time. The price for this training was quite reasonable but truth be told it's worth double the amount you pay for the training. I would recommend this training course to anyone that wants to get into security. If you are truly serious about becoming a stronger person physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually this is absolutely where you want to be. There is absolutely no reason to look at the rest because reality-based training group is absolutely the best

This Security program was amazing ! Great experience! I wanted to become an security guard for soooo long , going through many programs, i finally found the right one ! Growing up I hated school because teachers never really connected and students made it harder to concentrate around. For the first time in my life I fell in love with learning. I can say Mr. Brown and Mr. Reeves and all the instructors and trainers he allows you to learn from are the best teachers I've ever had. From elementary school to college. I have run across two teachers in my life that actually took the time to teach. In this environment at RBTG These people find a way to make sure you get what the subjects are and they work with what you know not against it. This school is amazing and I personally say no matter what level or field your coming from in law enforcement or combat skills if this school comes across as an option. Say yes. I believe if you pass up any class they offer you'd be short changing yourself in what you need and could learn. Thank you Mr. Brown for just keep going forward and for not giving up. From being in the military for 6 years and transitioning into civilian life, I wanted to express how amazing this class was for me, and how much I was able to learn in only a week and a half. I learned not only skills that will help keep me and others around me safe, but also life skills and made some amazing bonds with my class. Once you sit down and throw what you know out the window and you're willing to learn everything Mr. Brown and his partners have to offer, you can't go wrong. This was better than all of the military training I have received and would 12/10 recommend anyone looking to better there resume or try something new.

I took a DC Special Police Officer and Maryland Armed training at RBTG. I was very very impressed with the training and the instructors. Classroom and hands on training at the highest level. I am more knowledgeable about the law, the constitution, firearms and how policing works. I HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for PROPER SPO/Security training with instructors who are not only fun and engaging but also subject matter experts to go to RBTG. I can assure you that you will leave with a higher knowledge of laws, the constitution, firearms saftey, baton/OC, deescalation and defensive tactics that could safe your life one day.

Coming from the Automotive field, I never did anything pertaining to law enforcement before and I needed a career change. I've took many different security training classes but this by far is the most professional and well structured class. Highly recommend this training program! I just finished in class# 20-007 for Armed SPO. Mike is the best at what he does no questions, if you’re looking for any training RBTG is it. You’ll get book and street knowledge. Been in the field for 4 years and never got training like this. You have to work for it but he definitely set you up for success. Appreciate it.

I just had a 64 hours training class at RBTG and I have to say the instructor Mike Brown and Sean Reeves are awesome. I have been during security since 1996 and what I have to say about this training is its the best I ever had. The instructors gave me information that was so imperative and so on point. RBTG don't just teach the fundamentals of being a SPO they give you more. The class was fun and I enjoyed every minute of it. I would recommend this type of training for any security company that want to make sure their officers get everything they need and much more. If I had to do the training again I would definitely choose RBTG over anyone. The instructors are certified in so much just look them up. They refuse to let you fail any part of the training. They push you so much it makes you want more. This was the best experience a person could ask for and so much more. So if you want to get trained by the best give RBTG a call best believe they will take you to another level and make you feel more confident in what you are doing in the security field or even everyday life. I would like to give a special shout out to Mike Brown and Sean Reeves. I thank you guys with all my heart for training me and pushing me. This is the best training that I have Ever experiences! I have been to a Correctional Officer Academy and a University Police Academy and I must say Reality-Based Training is the best ever. You will definitely be trained by professionals. The director is professional, patient and very knowledgeable. I went here because I wanted to get my recertifications with my weapon, OCAT, baton and hancuffs and I got it all. Best decision I made in along time. I guarantee you will Not be disappointed.

"The day was really wonderful yesterday! We learned a lot, and though they made it fun, they impressed upon us that what was being taught was for a very important and serious reason, and that we should pay close attention to the lessons. They impressed upon us that we need to think safety, to keep a vigilant stance emotionally and physically – to observe our surroundings, note changes in behavior of familiar people/strange behavior of those we don’t know, and to listen to/view cues which may serve as warnings. They gave us a lot to ponder, and to realize that in today’s world, we have to think safety in every situation/environment.
